Man Driving Stolen Humvee Arrested for Giving Fake Name to Police

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man who was driving a stolen Humvee after he gave police a false name during questioning.

Deputies with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office were originally called to the 4400 block of US 1 North because of a suspicious vehicle, according to an arrest report.

As police were searching the area, they found 23 year old Patrick Foley walking north on US 1. Foley initially gave police a false name of Vincent Hayden.

When the deputies found out Foley had given them a fake identity, fake id reddit they arrested him for giving a false name/identification to a law enforcement officer.

As police investigated further, they learned Foley was a missing/endangered person from Palmer, Massachusetts.

Investigating further, the detectives found out the Humvee had been reported stolen from a military base in Orlando.

The Orlando Police Department told deputies they would not be charging Foley with the theft of the Humvee but that they would forward the information to the Orlando Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division.

St. Johns Sheriff’s deputies, continuing their investigation, also learned the brown military issue Humvee had been involved in a hit and run crash in Volusia County.

A Burger King employee witnessed the Humvee drive through a Pier 1 Imports store and then drive off. The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is conducting their own investigation into the crash.

The Army National Guard went to the scene to take possession of the stolen Humvee.

Foley was taken to the St. Johns County Jail where he was booked on a charge of fraud. His bond has been set at $1,000.
